Paiko Men (Pako Men) is noodle-in-soup style dish topped with battered-fried pork rimb. It is usually accopanied with boiled green vegetables.

Tantan Men is noodle dish with hot & spicy chili taste soup. It is said to be brought in Japan by a legendary chinese chef named Chin Kenmin, the Father of Szuchuan cuisine in Japan. Tantan Men is originated from China, but in China Tantan Men is not noodle-in-soup style. It is more like "Shirunashi Tantan Men" shown below. Chin Kenmin adapted Tantan Men to meet Japanese tasete, since he knew Japanese liked noodle-in-soup style dish.

As explained above, Tantan Men, noodle-in-soup style, have got popular and can be easily found.You are lucky if you come into "Shirunashi Tantan Men", Tantanmen without soup, because few restarurants serve this dish as their regular menu.

Kang Tong Men is a traditional noodle-in-soup dish served at chinese restaurants in Tokyo.It's covered with thicken soup with potato starch, in which shrimps, bamboo shoots, shiitake mash rooms, and other vegetables are.
Kang Tong is the name of area in main land China. But this style of noodle dish is not the speciality there. It is considered that some chef named it to add some chinese taste to this dish.

Su-Ra-Tan means "Hot&Sour sopu." So Su-Ra-Tan Men is a noodle dish in "Hot & Sour soup." Since this dish is quite newly introduced, not so many restaurants are serving this dish yet. If you would like to taste this dish, you should visit a Szuchuan restaurant.
             

The chinese charactors of Tan Men means "Noodles in soup" in Chinese. But in Japan, Tan Men solely means noodle in salt tasted soup with fried vegetables topped. This noodle dish is often found in Ramen shops as well, and many Japanese it is a variation of Ramen. But as top line of this page says, the noodle dishes introduced here are never Ramen. Nether Tan Men is.

Jah-jah men is another noodle dish originated in China. Jah-jah men dose not have hot broth, instead it is dressed with a thick starchy sauce with ground meat seasoned by Tien-men Jan. Cucumber strips are often garnished. Though the same kind of noodles as ramen is used for Jah-jah men in Japan, in China its noodles are wider and flatter.

Sanma Men is covered with thich starched sauce with fried beansprouts and other vegetables in it. Uniquely, this noodle dish is found only in Southern end of Tokyo and Kanagawa in which Yokohama locates. The reason is said to be that this noodle dish was invented and introduced by Heichinro, the oldest Chinese restaurant in the Japan's largest China town, Yokohama.
