Koyuki
KOYUKI has nine Udon and Soba choices on the menu, but only one Ramen. Oddly enough, they spell it "Lamen" and the description reads, "Chinese pasta in broth with vegetables." Oh well...I ordered it anyway. And it was good.

The broth is a mid-brown color (similar to the color of Samuel Adams beer) and more flavorful than the broth that I had at Kiku-Chan Friday night. The noodles were less firm than Kiku-Chan's. Since I am a relatively inexperienced Ramen-head, I don't know if this is necessary a flaw. I did not find it offensive. It was topped with seaweed, bean sprouts, finely sliced scallion, half of a hard-boiled egg and corn kernels. I was, at first, concerned that KOYUKI's one and only Ramen dish had no meat. I am a big fan of sliced pork. Fortunately, however, the broth's depth of flavor saved the day.
