| I am amazed at the bad review of this restaurant. This is absolutely one of the
best places to eat on the SF Peninsula. For one, the staff is outstanding.
They are extremely friendly. Each member of the team from Koji, the owner, to
the serving staff greets you as you walk in. If you sit at the counter, the
owner takes the time to talk to each guest to get to know them. It is a family
atmosphere. Two, the food is great. You get big portions for a few bucks. For
dinner, you can get a dinner set which comes with and entre, rice, and a small
bowl of ramen. I usually leave the place stuffed. Don't let the other reviews steer you wrong. If you come to the SF area, visit the Ramen Club in Burlingame. It is worth the time. (Posted by teamakira, 2003. 2.24) |

| I must have gone on a bum night. The restaurant was smoky and noisy. My
order got lost in the shuffle. Since I was seated at the counter, I gave my
order again directly to the cook. I was disappointed. Lifeless, limp noodles
in a tepid, vapid broth. A few slices of tired tasting roast pork and some
greens floated in the broth. Nothing such as fish cake to make it pretty. I
will NEVER come here again--not even to give them a second chance. (Posted by MKatrinatoo, 2003. 1.14) |

| Ramen Club is a medium-sized ramen shop. The ramen is consistently good, but the
gyoza can vary considerably. The Shoyu Ramen is my favorite, and the broth is
strong and clear without being greasy (like Santa). The place is usually very
crowded beginning around 6:00 on weekends so get there early for dinner. One of
the best bets on the peninsula for good, solid ramen. (Posted by Anton, 2002. 7.26) |
